Luna moths instinctively know

that upon emerging

they are supposed to climb upside down

and wait silently for their wings to fill with fluid.

This allows them to fly.

A bright green baby waited 

on the porch all winter

in a small brown shell

for this moment.

A child waited all winter,

saw it first and started screaming.
